Blocked nose?

Postby smex14 » Tue Dec 13, 2011 3:00 am

Hi guys, hoping you can help.

Sigs looks like he might have one blocked nostril? About a week ago he did sound slightly snuffly but only briefly. He seems fine, his breathing his fine, I'm not sure if he is snotty or he just has dirst stuck up there. It definitely seems like a nose problem rather than lungs etc. I was thinking of trying to give it a wipe with some warm water on a washcloth? Or a warm bath just to try and clear the dirt from his nose?

If anyone has suggestions or you have experienced similar then I would be grateful for your help. Hope he's ok!

A warm bath, wiping with a washcloth, or using a wet q-tip (cotton swab) are all options. I've also used tweezers to remove bits of stuck shed from the nose.

Are there any signs of bubbles or crusty-bits around the nose/eyes? Those can be signs of an RI too.
