11 months old is not a young/little skink : ) mine was 11 months when i brought him home, and between 35-40 cm long x'D (which i think is a farly normal size for that age, correct me if im wrong)
give him a week to settle in, as with all reptile.
make sure to keep him far away from your other reptiles the first month and be very careful washing your hands and anything thats been in the cage as to not transfer anything to marvin.

Ya, That what i'm most worried about. I love his/her colours. She seems almost white/cream. I plan on asking if theres a breeder they got it from and the breed:)

the...breed? xD its an IJ or eastern. i cant tell you which.....sorry.
make sure its not just the pre shed colour too. there is a lot of difference between pre shed and after shed.
my skink is a quite orange northern, but he turns absolutely caramel/soft brown coloured.
i think it was Katrina that mentioned this pre shed difference in a post and posted pictures, but i might be wrong about the person. im very sorry if so!

ya, I so those posts of hersXD If it is an IJ or an eastern and that is it's true colour, What 'rareity' does white hold?

that depends on how you see it
i think, this skink is more rare to you than to the rest of the world if you like her/him. skinks, even among siblings, have very individual looks.
personally i also like the colour of this skink since the contrasts are very nice. its not a skink i would find here. But its not white (?), its light brown : ) there is a significant difference while talking about this while breeding animals. take pisces leucistic ones for example - pure white.
my litchie was probably bred for orange colour, but he is still a regular northern

and all his siblings have the same colour, and the breeder probably have a batch of like 40 of these a year, out of which about half of these will be used for breeding too. this skink probably has at least 9 siblings which carry the same traits. though 9 isnt much compared to the mass of bts there are available of course.
just remember that if you can afford to buy more like it from the same breeder, dont breed them. inbred BTS is something there is enough of.....inbred animals in general too. i think many here have mixed feelings about this, look at the ethics of breeding threads in the advanced forum. might be something.

11 months isnt young but it isnt old either. You have an IJ it isnt rare. There is one like that on kingsnake right now
http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php? ... &de=882492 It also looks like leigh's blue.

Its an IJ, the white isn't really rare at all - just different from Marvin. It is nice looking, but definitely not rare at all. Like Fatal_S said in your other thread, if you want to breed you should look into finding an IJ that looks more like Marvin. 11 months isn't a baby, you can treat it the same as Marvin.
Hardly anyone in Canada is breeding BTS let alone morphs or breeding for certain colors, so this guy definitely wasn't bred specifically for colors.

I've thought about breeding if its a female at least once or twice but I'm not really sure.

The pale/whitish color is quite normal for IJs. Sorry, but there's nothing rare about that skink in the least (IJs are the most common skink in Canada). That doesn't make it any more/less worthy of a great home and lots of love though.
IJs come in a variety of colors and pattern types. Check out the 'what makes a classic IJ' thread. If you ever decide to breed try to find similar looking IJs IMO.

IMO? I've seen that around quiet often but have no idea what it means.
I really need names for him/her and the most i've come up with is:
Shae(female)

If the breeding was taken, how do I know what to expect from her?
