I still have 4 of the babies here, so I got some more pictures to share. I took the babies outside in the sun for about 10 minutes, then we went and explored the living room on my blanket, then they all got a warm bath and had extra shed removed. Finally they went back to their homes with big dishes of Wellness chicken dogfood :)

And a few pictures of Snoopy guarding the skinks and being cute. Snoopy usually ignores my reptiles indoors but she's very protective outside; she is great at keeping the local cats away.
NOTE: My dog has been trained not to hurt small animals. Use common sense: do not let your animals interact if they might hurt each other, and never let your animals interact unsupervised.

I love the dog picture . So cute ! One of the skinks looks big compared to the rest . I think it's QD . I thought they were all gone except QD and Bomber that you're keeping . I hope the other two get good homes .

HI was sold, returned, then on hold, but I haven't heard from that person so I guess HI is available. He's a good eater now (stressed after expo/new home) but is small right now.

MX is on reserve for AcidFeathers. He's long but slim. He seems to be trying to brumate so isn't interested in food. This annoys me; I like fat, growing skinks. He loves JumpStart though, so he's still gaining weight, just slower.

QD (yup, he's a biggun) was a bit too grumpy to go to most homes so he'll probably go to James Wilson or Katrina. His attitude has gotten so much better though, so if neither can take him I'm sure he'll make a great pet for someone patient.

Bomber (TP) is staying here since my mom loves him. He's actually caught up with HI in size now. If he'd been born normal-size I'm sure he'd be as big as QD; he likes to eat. I don't think he'll stay a runt at all, but his colors are very neat.

HOW THE HECK IS QD STILL AVAILABLE  :tired: :wall:
He's the greatest northern I have ever seen even in comparison to Andrew's Sunsets(They're pretty too but, I just love this dark guy even more). I love him so much.

I want grumpy baby!! Such a tank compared to the others!

Give James first dibs though. I'm lucky enough to have Baby Z / Sam already. :D

TP is definetly interesting. I'd swear he was a hybrid if I hadn't known the parents. I guess this makes crossing Northerns/IJ's even more problematic.

Also I agree QD is definetly a looker.

I would never have believed TP is a Northern if I hadn't bred him myself and been able to trace his ancestry back so far. I kind of expected him to randomly shed the 'baby-colors' away, but it seems this is what he's going to look like forever. The ID difficulty is one of the big reasons I'm going to keep him; it would be too easy to get confused with him in the general BTS population.

I would still love to hear from other breeders/keepers/aussies as to whether anyone has seen something like this before. I know Ray often gets slightly different babies and keeps them to be breeders, but I can't recall any that look this un-northern. I can't help but wonder if it's from a troubled/retarded fetal-development, an abberant gene (would it breed out? Should it be attempted?), or some bit of T. Scincoides scincoides that randomly overpowered the intermedia design (with the thinking that in Aus they're almost considered the same species).

If we didn't know he was a Northern, what would we think he was (IJ? Eastern?). Does he look like any other known BTS (keeping in mind he's a baby right now)?

I'll keep posting tons of pictures as he grows into his adult colors and I'd love any thoughts & opinions on him.

I would have thought tp was a strange northern or an IJ x northern.
