There needs to be a picture of the BTS in question for someone to look at before any guessing or determining of gender can happen...

firefox is probably not the issue : )
make sure the file is in jpeg and that the size is not bigger than 500 kb, if it is, then just make it smaller in any program. 500kb is just a recommendation, as bigger files sometimes are not uploaded on this website.
then you click upload, choose photo, wait, then click on paste and upload another, and then close the extra window.
if you already have an image on a website youd like to use, then right click on it and choose image source link, paste it here and put img code before and after the link by using the above option wjile posting.
photobucket, deviantart.....you can use an image from anywhere no matter where you upload it. just - link to the image and not the entire page xD
question?

Have you read the hints in the caresheet?
I have found that when you take a BTS outside that they often relieve themselves. If you look carefully, a male skink will often "give himself away" as he relieves himself.
A second helpful thing is to simplify your substrate for a time (ie paper towels or reptile carpet) and look for sperm plugs.
Of course, if you have access to a female post-brumation, his behavior might also give him away.
An absence of these signs does not prove you have a female but other signs (head shape, eye color, etc.) are not very reliable.
Read the caresheet for other "sexing" hints but these are the ones I found to be the most helpful...

probing

You didn't ask but I am going to lay it out there.
I don't recommend probing. It isn't 100% and you could damage your skink. I realize some "experts" might be quite accomplished with this task but I would never allow one of my BTSs to have this done. I actually scared off a prospective buyer when they wanted to have this done to one of my baby blueys. I'm sure others will disagree but even a calm skink would object to this and could be injured in the process. Sorry for this unsolicited opinion. I tend to give many unsolicited opinions.

I don't think anyone on here will disagree with not using probing for BTS.

The bible tells us that probing is pretty useless for BTS, and Andrew Seike has some males (maybe females too) that have damaged boy-bits from previous owners trying to probe them. I would definitely say NO to probing or popping any BTS; I wouldn't even allow a vet to try it.
