Growth Rate Question?

Sorry if this is a redundant thread.

I've been measuring my Merauke's length every couple of weeks. I got him when he was 12 inches long in June. He is now 20 3/4 inches long. Thats almost 9 inches in 4 1/2 months. I wish I recorded all of the lengths/dates but I wasn't that on top of it...

Is this growth rate fast? slow? normal?

I do not have any weight measurements yet. I am going to get a scale and measure weights soon though.

FYI: I feed him about 5 times/week on average. Not sure if that info is necessary but thought I'd throw it out there just in case...

Not a redundant thread at all - this kind of thing varies a lot based on species, individual and diet so it is an interesting topic. :D

At 20 3/4 inches long, I would feed no more than twice a week, likely just once.

I don't have exact rates on my blueys (need to find my spreadsheet! ), but they do grow like weeds.

Our Thor has grown fast as well. When we got him the beginning of June (he was about 6 wks) he was 10", and he is now 17". I have been feeding him every other day. He is almost 5 months old, and I wonder if I should cut back to feeding 2x a week? :?
