New pics of Thor(a) taken at Ray's place... (DUW)

Postby ExtremeJustin » Mon Aug 01, 2011 7:23 pm

It's a been a while since I've been on here. We took Thor (or more accurately Thora LOL) with us when we went to Ray's on Sunday and Thor is a SHE and an Eastern. From her banding he thinks she is from one of his Eastern lines.

Since I haven't posted pics in forever, I figured I'd post some pics on here:

Thora with another Eastern (Thora is the one just sitting on the table):

Most likely Thora's Mom: (E-F11?)
Image

Most likely Thora's Dad: (E-F5?)

Oh and while I was there I snapped this picture (I think this might be the first U.S. captive born Kei Islands):

I got pics of some Redfoots too (but I'll have to post those in the off-topic
forum). Well here's some more of Thora I took today while her 40 gallon was being cleaned:

No, it's a SKINK not a SKUNK. Er, no, it's not a Blue Tongued Skank---although I do think I dated one of those at some point.

Actually Greg Nillis successfully bred them years ago.

How old is Thora? Her eyes seem to suggest a rather senior animal-but apparently not?

I'll start another topic on Ray's success with the Keis...

James:
Cool. Has anyone else been able to breed them successfully since?

Xxmonitorlizardxx:

The BTS Ray is holding in the first picture is one of his Easterns. He's got some that have some similarities to Northerns. He thinks Thora is from that line.

Critterguy:

Yes, Thora is over a decade old. She was a full-grown adult when I bought her on May 1st, 2000. Ray was breading that line of Easterns since sometime in the 90s.

Josh: Thank you.

Wow - you are so lucky to be close enough to Ray to stop by for a visit!! :D

Thora is gorgeous and you can definitely see how those two could be her parents. You are so lucky to live so close to Ray!
