I love the toes on the second one, they are perfect. A little dark with too much white spaces, and needs some more shading. Did you do this with pen? It almost looks like scratch board or a wooden print (where you carve the picture in wood then cover it in paint and 'print' it onto paper. It is very good, with some more shading in your scratchy style( which is really neat) could make these look awesome. Just a thought, I would pick your favorite color and go in and put some thick lines in and maybe do the eyes and side markings with a color. Just one color though to kinda highlight some areas, would look very neat. I am an art student so I love to help others who love to draw and paint, but i think (unlike college professors) that anybody can draw and paint as long as they appreciate there artwork and 'love' to express themselves. Keep on drawing, the more you practice the better you will get:D
p.s. when I draw animals i pull up pictures of there bone and muscle structures. It really helps to figure out where you should put shading and expressive lines. always works for me:)
