Skink table manners?

Postby Linnea » Tue Jun 21, 2011 11:40 pm

Just a small question....does your skinks wipe their mouths after eating?
when Litchie is finished with his meal, he always goes backwards and wipes his mouth on the substrate.

Despite this he sometimes gets a little green around the mouth from the salad D: And i gotta clean up whatever he had around his mouth that is now in the substrate as well.

( i will be uploading a new 'collection' of half good quality photos soon :D )

Elliot does for sure- I keep a paper towel and he rubs his face on it when he's done! =] ...

Arden, my best friend's skink, wipes her face in her leftovers when she's done. :| ... Fail. Heheh.

xD oh lol.....

well, seems as if its quite a practiced behaviour then : D thats so cool. but why would they do this in nature? i mean....they kinda slide on the ground so everything would be wiped off quite soon even without them doing it intentionally.
