Current **Raptor** Pics, and a poo question

Postby EvoSolley » Wed Jun 01, 2011 10:43 am

Hey guys,

so everything has been going pretty good with raptor so far since i got him a little over a month ago. he seems to be setteling in nicely and hasnt hissed or anything at me in quite a while, which is good. he is becoming more used to my hands and knows exactly what food bowl is his! ( the pictures below will show this haha)

I feed raptor every three days. This meal consitsts of Pedegree chopped beef dog food (loaf style), chopped up mustard and collard greens, some bits of cut up mango and yellow squash. along with a calcium suppliment pinched on top. Man he scarfs it down real quick lol

One worry, is today he pooed and it was really liquidy. 2 urate masses, A LOT of "water" and his poo was very runny. this is the first time his poo has been like this. i read the poo thread on here and it said not to immediatly worry about this and to try and find out why before going to a vet or anything. I havent changed his diet except for adding some Mango but i dont think that would cause "the runs". He is still active and roams his cage, especially when food is introduced haha. seems normal so could this of possibly just been a bad pass or something? he shouldnt poo for another 2 days or so, so i guess ill have to wait and see, any tips or pointers on this? he does look like he is getting a bit chalky so i am assuming a shead may be in the works soon, could that affect it?

anyway here are some pics! and OMG looking at these makes me realize that he has really gotten big since i got him! kinda crazy lol

Sounds like you've got a perfect skinky meal! He looks great too. I wouldn't worry about the poop, and yes I would bet that the mango was the cause.
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Yeah - don't worry about one weird poop. If it happens multiple times then it might be cause for concern. But one or two runny poops is most likely nothing at all. :D

Very cute!
