Vacation

Postby girl4jesus83 » Wed May 25, 2011 9:12 am

So I am leaving for vacation for a week and I was wondering what your recommendations are on a good meal to feed him before I go. Cody (northern) is a year old in a 70 herp tank. I was thinking wax worms or chicken, banana, yam, mustard greens, zucchini..... What would you guys think would hold him over? I might be able to get my dad to come a feed him once while I am gone but it would have to be something that could be frozen or last in the fridge for at least 3 or 4 days. Thanks guys!!! :ohyes:

For a year old? Feed him whatever you like before you leave and then feed him when you get back. No need to do anything special and no need for your dad to feed while you are gone. They will do just fine for a week or more. :D

Dont forget to put his light on a timer (If it isnt already ofcourse) and make sure it works.
I left for a weekend one time (two nights, three days) and when I got home. None of my timers had workd. Thankfully Ruckus had good hidey hole he just pushed some substrate in the door way.
I always make sure a few days in advanced that the timer works now lol

I agree that I wouldn't worry about food, but if your dad could come over sometime in between and change his water, that would be good. As you know, bowls can get rather skanky after a bit and you don't want nasty things growing in there he will be drinking if you can avoid it.
