BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Its been a little while since I've been on here, college and high school have been taking up my life as of late. But I thought I would give a little update on my angel Mulcahy

He's doing awesome, staying at a good weight since I have got him. I switched dog foods that I've been feeding him recently, and he really loves the new stuff (goes right for it as soon as I put it in the tank, whereas the old stuff would tend to sit for a little bit). Its fun to feed him and watch him eat, he's so adorable.

I was having a problem with my light (the enclosure wasn't getting hot enough), but I cut a small hole in the top so that the screen wasn't absorbing so much of the heat (its a thick black screen) and upgraded to a higher wattage light and the temps are perfect now. Haha, my Dad doesn't understand my obsession for Mulcahy. He says he's "just a lizard". Just a lizard? Ha, hardly.

Anywho, yeah . Loving my darling Mulcahy. If it weren't for the fact that my parents would kill me, I would defiantly be getting another large tank for another bluey. Can't stop at just one, lol

Parents don't get it. I don't think most of my friends get it either. I post tons and tons of reptile pics on facebook and have a blog that features my reptiles. My dad is like "what is with the obsession". Ah, parents...

My mom didn't get it at first either, but now she has nicknamed my skink 'Fatty' And refers to her as her 'Grandskink'!

Dad is not the problem....have a hub that is a non-lover But as soon as we get any visitors the all have to see my 'weird stuff'
