I am by far not an expert, so please wait for them to answer. BUT, in the meantime I can show you pictures of my Irian Jaya (Tiliqua ssp) and Meraukes (T. g. evanesence). I think most of the identification comes from the foreleggs, because the striping on the skinks in your pictures do look a lot like Merauke striping.

My Tiliqua ssp, Joey:

My T. g. evanesence, Anakin:

My T. g. evanesence, Jazz and Maddie:

Good luck, and hopefully someone else can give you a better answer soon!

Many people, especially in Europe consider IJ's and Meraukes one in the same. Their natural ranges overlap, so they can breed with each other in the wild if they are actually two different types of bts. IJ's are not officially classified as anything at this point, so in effect, it is not an official designation. It is probably more accurate to use an official designation than IJ, but the problem is that evanesence are gigas, and most people lean toward scincoides as the most probable species for IJ's to fall under.

They don't look all that skinny. No hip bones visible or anything. I wouldn't worry too much about them putting on weight, regular feeding should be fine. :D

Gorgeous IJs! Love the light coloring!
