That would be fine with me, unless everyone wants to have another contest for it just for fun....either way!

I don't know if some of the pics would be too similar because they're from the same contests as other photos, but I think for the most part, they're all pretty different....

If that is what we decide on can I forfeit my right to have Sprout's "where's the bluey" pic in exchange for either Lisa's 3rd place winner or Zach's pile of baby blueys picture? I think they deserve recognition more than my picture.

I'm kind of leaning more towards some random shots too, that perhaps Zach or Kelly can put together a list and we can vote on.

Don't get me wrong, I love all the contest pics so far....but there have been sooooo many great shots posted on the forum (and on other parts of the site) over the past year that would be well worthy of a place in the calendar.

We could always just a random contest where we can each enter one (myabe two) pictures we've taken (new or old ones) and the top six can go into the calender.

that's a good idea about the body shots. We can tie the species in with their ower's birthday.....I bags March just kidding

I'm easy either way, but would lean towards using non contest pics or Jenn's random contest with no theme.

The only problem I see with voting and the top 6 win is that we can only vote for one entry. What if everyone likes one particular one as their favorite of the bunch so one picture wins by 30 votes or something and the other 5 just happened to have 5 or 6 votes to bring them above the other entries...am I making sense at all or just rambling?

I wish there was a way we could vote for more than one option.

If I may add my opinion... Most people don't own rarer skinks so it would be neat to have great shots of rarer skinks for at least each species...C'mon... we can't have a bluey calendar without westerns.... I'll be too sad...

Yeah! That would be a great one. After reading here, I think I like the idea of just having some excellent random pics. Let's brainstorm and start posting potential pictures right here in this thread; feel free to post any from the site.

I'm sort of of the mind of Renee... I don't know if I want that Sunny pictures in there! It's neat and all, but it's really not visually stunning at all, just sort of clever I guess. I LOVE Lisa's hidden bluey shot -- I think I want that one in there. Do you have the large picture of it, lisa?

You don't want the banana Sunny picture? I love that picture. I don't want a calander of just rare skinks. I want a calander that is a mix of the cute one (contest winners) and then some of the rarer guys. I think that more like the site. Some times we are serious and other times we are just crazy!

The Sunny picture has to be in there. No question.
I didn't think we were going for 'visually stunning' as such, just cool or funny pictures that show our guys in their best light. We're not all professionals so I hope that just because some of us might have a crappy camera or not a great photographer that we miss out because our picture is not visually stunning.

At the same time, I know that we want a product that is great, so obivously good photos are essential. But a pretty shot of a cute bluey sitting in the grass or in his tank is just as special as one that's dressed up in halloween gear. Boy I'm fence sitting a bit today. Better dig the splinters out of my bum



Personally, I'd prefer that if Jubby made it into the calendar that it would be an acutaly shot of him, not just his eye in the leaves. I want to see him in all his glory

I love that one though! I'm using it for the Wild page. I actually took that photo, and stretched it into two photos and tried to disguise it. Take a look on the wild page.....
