Well big male covered fiesty lass today, she fought back but he persisted, copping bites back for his efforts, just made him more determined, she wouldnt lift her tail for him so i ended up liffing it for him to finish
Young male didnt show interest in his female so think windows finally shutting all round, has been over 4 weeks since they started

Well, hopefully they have been successful. How many females do you suspect may have had a positive, umm, "interaction"?

Oh, then there's a very good chance you'll have some babies. I hope they all do well, you'll have so many!

Popped a few males in with some girls tonight. Action straight away.

Took the males out after 30 mins, I don't want the females bashed too much.

Nice one rory,is that a late start to the season up there, guess it depends on how they are cycled,do any of your males go more than once a day, mine only go once, still show interest but dont try grabbing again after earlier copulations
Nice looking specimens

I probably could have started earlier, just thought I would wait until the start of Spring. This was their first go for the season and I removed them from the girls once the action had finished. I don't want any missing body parts from any blueys this year

I've noticed the noises with my northerns too. The male puts off 15 - 20 little clicks apx 1 second apart. I've never noticed any 'residue' when they are done though.
