Yeah, Jen's a member on the forum. I personally like both the animals and the operating procedure in LLL's bluey breeding program than Underground's. Have you seen their axanthic gigas? :tasty:

yeah thats the vid

might be in one of there outdoor cage vids, they were both pretty big solid blueys, apart from injuries it was a nice looking indo

always best to set up what u have already first before hoarding, then slowly add if u have the room ect, numbers often means less babies and less attention to them all and it becomes more a chore then fun

UPDATE:

Virginia is still outside, and still seems to enjoy the high humidity. I took her outside to see if she'd enjoy the ultra strong UV today, and after about 5 minutes of being outside, she was doing a tail wiggle, so I quickly took her back into her cage.. didn't want her to feel threatened reason for her doing the wiggle. She is still big as a cow, and still has the baby-bump looking thibg on each side of her. She is still breathing super heavily, as well. :|

UPDATE (I guess..?):

Nothing any different that what she has been doing, still not eating anything, other than taking a a lick of food, then done- it has been a couple months since she has an actual "meal", but talked to my father more about it, and before we visit my family back in Tennessee (end of November), we are DEFINITELY getting an ultrasound. I have a few questions for whoever keeps up with huge thread.

If she is gravid, shouldn't the bones of the babies be pretty formed for it to show up on an x-ray, or would an ultrasound be better? I hear ultrasounds are hit and miss, and I don't think you could miss 8 tiny little skeletons in a tummy.. opinions please..

Thanks

If she was having issues passing them she would be in bad shape,if i thought that i wouldnt be waiting a month to see vet,i dont think its showing anu signs of struggling to have babies, theres a good chance its just a fatty

Not something I think is happening, just just something to think about. No signs of struggling other than the super heavy breathing.

Looks like shes eyeing off your big toe in first pic,lol

She looks more pear shaped now, front end looks skinnier bit of a buldge towards the rear, shes quite solid looking head wise to

Hard to tell, could just be a solid lass,at the least gestation has been 6 months which is awfully long for hottest period of the year

Do you have any video of the heavy breathing?

Shes a nice looking lass to,yout inside pics never did her any justice

I was actually doing a video, and she did this huge jerk.. like in Susann's video of Maddie when she was gravid.. I'll post it soon.

When I compare her breathing to videos on YouTube it isn't as "harsh"? She doesn't gape for air or look like she is huffing often. A couple of days I webt outside and it appeared that she was huffing (breathing in deep; letting it out vigorously), but aftwr I started paying attention it wasn't huffing.. just her laboured breathing. That was the only time she did it like in the videos.. most of the time just a lightee version to it.

Haha, she didn't like it outside so I had to use my feet as a barrier to keep her from slithering away.. which she wasn't happy about.

And yeah, I don't get good pictures of her for some reason.. she has such an unusual color to her.. like a yellow with bronze striping with some orange/red tones on the side.. with a pink belly.

You got good pics this time

With the breathing thing, each female is different, some actually hide it well, others its impossible to miss, maybe i should make a vid of 3 of mine together doing it to show the variety

A couple of mine do the jerky thing every now and then to
