Welcome to the forum. Cograts on all the wonderful pets you have. We do lab rescue and it is wonderful. As for your hissing. Tink sometimes likes to hiss when I go it. I think it is because his cage really is his personal space. He loves to hide in his rock and usually that is where he is. I notice that if he is out he doesnt hiss. The good thing is that after he is out he is still not hissing at you.

sorry after I posted I realized that I can not spell today. Earlier in the post you said that your Skink hisses at you alot when you are getting him out but, not when he is out of the cage. Sometimes mine does that but once he is out he is fine.

Mine will bite if I don't grab her from the back. Once out though she's fine. Climbing over me, sitting in a baby blanket peeking at me falling asleep, being cute. But that cage thing is hers and she is a pain in the butt in there.

Tink wont bite but every now and then he will hiss. I hope that it gets better for you. We would love to see some pics.
