All the wild ones around here look like Jubby (but then he's from local stock). We are mainly sandstone but, so I think they speckle up to blend in with the surrounds. Can also get pretty hot in summer, so I think being paler suits that. I really want one of those dark, coppery Vic ones, but. I'm very jealous! Do you ever throw the rock pilers any food bits? I get them in a dry stone wall on my property and I sometimes shove bits of mushrooms or banana in there (and hope that the possums don't suss it)

naah i havnt fed the rock pile ones,our local easterns r very variable,we do have ones that look like your jubby to,but lots of green ones and coppery ones as well,i guess the jubby looking ones dont have the nice bright coloring on there lower stripes as much as the jubster,but can look similar,ill go through some old pics i have to show u,but there from an old school camera so wont be the best pics
