I can see where you are coming from and I would love that option but sadly I have too many nooks and crannies he could sneak into within my room and all the other rooms in the house I currently live at (It would absolutely crush me to loose the little stinker under my dresser or somewhere within my closet). But I am sure I can build a safe little pen of sorts for him to wander in.
Once I move out and get my own place I am hoping to have a reptile room that is safe for him to wander freely in though. With supervision obviously.
Also thank you for the insight! Luckily I hadn't gotten very far in that project anyway other than a sketch so I can ditch it without guilt
Anyway, further update.
Still doing really well with being social, think he might be going into shedding but won't know till tomorrow. He gets to come to class with me and teach some future vet techs what it means to be a skink! As well as care and handling
It's feeding day too so I am bringing his salad, couple treats and a quail egg to make his socializing worth it.
Then I am doing a more permanent custom enclosure build for him sometime soon that will have way more floor space at 24x24x60 inches. (He doesn't deserve a screen chameleon cage on its side, considering he is apart of the family!)
