Between 22 and 24 june a few males are starting to have there post brumation sheds with a few others going into blue as well,bit quicker then last season

The blue mountains males have started to squable,1 younger male bolts away which seems to get the older males excited and chasey

Wow Richard that 4-odd weeks just flew by. I'm interested to see how long they take to start feeling frisky.

What's your process for waking them up from brumation?

Simple process,i just turn on there lights

Usually i just do 4 to 6 weeks no heat from june first and wait for ambients to rise before they start showing interest,usually cold nights still so they hold out till early spring even if i wake on july 1st,last season though i gave access to a 24/7 hot spot though which seemed to fire them up a fair bit earlier,but as same time it did warm a tad earlier outdoors to,im hoping they go earlier but see what happens,its a bit cooler now then last season which could play with timing a bit to

Im usually at the mercy of whats going on outside with my ambients indoors

I turn everything off,usually for 4 weeks sometimes 6 then turn lights back on,usually just day heating anyways for mine

Nsw southern highland males just about finished his post brumation shed,this male was probably the best breeder last season,going to pop him over a couple of vic alpines this season instead of bluemountains he covered last season

3 days ago the lowlands male thats shed started grabbing at a female,but didt attempt to mate her,weathers been lousy so believe there just waiting on females windows to open,yesterday the young colorful vic alpone male shed,another blue mountains male is just starting to now

Lots of sperm plugs dropped in bluemountains cage today,weather went horrible after male started mating a while back which seemed to shut him right off,3 other males just about to shed and a few decent days forecast so could wake them up,nsw southern alpine males started following a lass and had some half hearted grabs and vic alpine males thats just shed is now dropping a few plugs so could get busy real fast shortly,lol

Haha,been a rather chilly winter so far

Another bluemountains male shed yesterday so hopefully with a nice weekend of weather they defrost enough to get busy,lol,seems im just waiting for females to open there windows

Eventful evening,seems the females are starting to ripen and a few attempts are now turning into money shots,these two matings an hour apart,same male two different females,still waiting on second male to shed

Got a first mating of nsw southern highlands male over bright vic alpine female

Moved him the female and a 2nd female away from group,he had a try for the 2nd female but went back and covered first lass again 20 odd minutes after rhe first time

Todays high fluctuated between 5 and 8 degrees celcius,which shut all interest from the lowlands male,slowed nsw southwrn highland male but didnt stop him trying and getting job done but also started the male vic alpine youngster who covered 2 females twice each in the space of 2.5 hours

hi maybe this is wrong thread but my 2 eastern bts just mated for first time and i was wondering can they mate and not have babies or have phantom pregnancies. they split on their own after five mins

5 nins is actually a decent length lock up,yes they can mate and babies never eventuate,but its always good seeing actual matings as it really increases your chances

Whilst the blotchie mmales are seemingly waiting on females windows to open ive started seeing some shingleback interest,just following and grabbing so far,but usually a good early sign things will pick up shortly

First baby of the season,from nsw southern hughland male over vic alpine female

Short gestation again,75 days after last mating,78 days after first mating

Found one baby in with her yesterday as she was shedding,no signs of more pushing 24 hours later and shes still solid and puffing away so see what happens
