Well trying some prings this morning and prince regent lass was doing the biting at her kunnanurra male partner,hes not quite awake yet it seems so switched the prince regent lass into his dads cage and have put the kunnanurra big female in with him whos only had one mating,no dice there but....

Last season scott my early june mated one dropped right at start of actober,so depending on when window closes,could be september babies,darwin/kunnanurra male seems to have lost interest in kunnanurra lass,but yeah,time will tell

Over the seasons ive had windows of under a week all the way out to actually stopping them at 5 and 6 weeks as males were still covering them

Pencil in a 6th mating for darwin/kunnanurra male over his kunnanurra female,its been ten days since the last time,been mildish weather up until today,which may have something to do with the gap,been half hearted atempts up until today which was quite vigourous,the other males are quite sluggish so nothing yet though young kunnanurra males just dropped plugs so will see if he wakes up enough

Rich this all looks really promising. Good season this year hopefully? I could do with a big stud male intermedia. I have one which is a bit timid and would only cover one particular female, one who is basically too old although still willing to try, and one who is a good breeder, but a bit unpredictable. Some females he doesn't like, some days he is not in the mood. When the window is narrow and you have multiple females, that is frustrating!

pretty certain the first two lasses windows have now shut,interest in them has gone

her first mating was back whrn first two were going so may have been grab and mate and ask questions later kind of mating as she seriously fought it

yesterday though she was up in the males faces head waving and tail wagging ,instead of chasing them a way and trying to latch on to them so looks like her windows finally opened

oh and nose /head scarring is from her cage mate as weather started to cool,her and her sibling brother started getting ansty at each other and i had to seperate them

had 3 males trying 3 new females tonight but two seem to have worn them selves out trying,oops,spoke to soon,one of those guilty males has grabbed a different young female with serious intent

one observation ive mentioned before but will again is the males clearing sperm plugs before showing any interest and then bang,its like they woke up,took some pics of it but might pop in a different thread

betrer keep my eye on these two
