I added some 4inch by 4inch vents to each side of the cage like I discussed. It didn't reduce the temps by more than a degree or two, but the air in the cages isn't stagnant like before, so I think that helped quite a bit, I am going to step my bulbs down from 75W to 50W to drop my basking temps down to the proper range, So I will just have summer and winter bulbs.

I suppose some clarification might help. My 4x8' closed chambers are in my garage and winter temps drop into the 40's (F) in there sometimes. The boxes are insulated with 1.5" foil backed, rigid foam sandwiched between two layers of plywood. I run two 60 watt CHEs on thermostats in each box to maintain ambient where I want it, then I use the 65 watt flood bulbs to create a basking spot. If I use anything larger than 65 watts, the ambient will start creeping too high by the afternoon. This suits me fine as burning less electricity to maintain ideal conditions works for me.
