Valley they look awesome! Sunrise northerns are my favorite northern color morph, pictures don't really do them justice. How long are your guys and Did you cool them? Im not planning on breeding mine this year. I'm going to wait until next year at least I think I am. Here is a pic of my male for comparison. He is in between sheds now.

He looks great Seadation, I did not cool them, but northerns in their first year will breed without a shutdown period. The male is about 17-18 inches. The female is exactly fifteen.

Yes my male is about 17 inches also but the other one is much smaller have to measure tonight when I get home.

Here it is. It's also between sheds but is coloring up nice. It has a little more black than the other one but it gives it a nice contrast with the orange/yellow. When they shed I will post new pictures of them both.

It seems to me that, at least the male, that he will go through a shed and spend a few weeks looking bright orange, then after the next shed, hes more of a yellow/orange color. He seems to have followed that pattern for at least the last couple months. Have you seen anything like that with yours?

Yes I have the same thing with thee guys and also with Blaze my red Northern. They alternate between sheds or one shed they are super "wow" bright orange and the next not as much and back and forth. But what I was saying is that out of the whole litter of Sunrise Northerns from Justin there were five and we have 4 of them and they are all beautiful specimens so that is a great indication of what's to come when we breed ours.

Oh yeah, I knew what you were saying, just curious about any color shifting. I've been meaning to send you a pm for nearly a month to compare, but I have a terrible memory. The female seems to stay a nice orange all the time, but the change on the male is dramatic. Do you know who ended up with baby number five?

Thank you? Haha they seem to betting more color on the belly, forearms, and head, the older they get. I didnt expect to see much color there.

They should still color up more as they get bigger,looking great so far,the parents are a great looking pair
