I think Tennessee was one of the first states that were thinking about trying to secede from the country, if I remember correctly. Although it could have been a rumor, who knows.

Thanks for clarifying. I've always seen it to be dependent on age group. Adults I've noticed call them wife beaters, but the "young and hip" group call them tank tops.


Here I've only ever heard of men wearing wife beaters and women wear tank tops.

We just threw some good meat on the Barbie a few days ago. Barbie sure knows how to get that meat a-sizzlin' just right. True story.
I think we are all just jabbering away since we have, as of yet, not been allowed to view the pictures in question...
So for know I will call him Griffin "The Invisible skink!"

I'm from outside Pittsburgh, PA and I've lived in Northern and Western PA most of my life. We call them wife beaters. It seems to be tank tops in Delaware. Also, anything on the barbie is delicious!

Up here a male wearing a white tank top is said to be wearing a "wife beater" but any other colour seems acceptable :noknow:
