Yeah its common for all species to go a bit nuts with live food,they tend to go in a frenzy and bite at any movement and try to grab what cage mate grabs at
I have been messing around with housing northerns together,an adult trio has been together in a 6 x 2 indoor cage for 4 years for me,1 year with previous owner,my other adults are seperate,they fight straight away,babies i house in groups of ten from birth,then make smaller groups when i see any issues ,last seasons holdbacks are still together,the years before started nipping tails at a year of age so were broken up into 3 groups,two cages of two and another cage with 3,no issues since breaking the group,except a male mating its cage mate,might help thst its ended up being one male and 6 females though
Maybe raising together from babies helps with compatability later,but early days still
Males when they fight are nuts,thats the worst aggression ive seen in northerns,but ive had a few females that are aggresdive to both sexes to
They are all individuals though and most people just house them seperatly to be on the safe side which is understandable,rules out the issue if they snap
Your lot look perfect,not even any harsh mating season scarring on females from the male,which is amazing in itself
