Inline dimmers are actually quite reasonable, though they will require monitoring of the temps and have to be manually adjusted. The slider could be threaded out from behind and positioned right next to the door of each cage for easy access.

I'm thinkin' these would work just fine with ceramic heaters; notice the top comment in the review section from the reptile keeper.

I picked up seven of these dimmers on the way home from work....but from Lowe's, where they're only $10 each.

Installed 'em in a jiffy. They're working perfectly! I was able to dial down the heat in the overly warm tanks very easily. Highly recommended so far; we'll have to see how they last in the long term.

Those cages are great. I wish I could afford to keep all of my skinks in them. I am in the process of making new enclosures for all of them now because I couldn't afford 36 matching Showcase or Visions.

Jeff, if I needed 36 tanks, and I wish I did, there's no way they would all be Showcase!
Richard, the hub and I do make a great team ; he knows how to do all kinds of stuff, and I only know how to sit at home speaking Finnish and Swedish while looking cute. And those skills don't so much come in handy when you need to install new tanks, and dimmers, and MistKing humidifiers, and count out how many amps everything is pulling from one outlet.

I still can't get over how rich his colors are. How big is he now?

I would guess he's around 22 inches long. I haven't weighed him for a while, but he is very skinny. He is by far my poorest eater; not picky, just doesn't eat a lot, and often turns meals down.

Hello. I'm looking into getting the 48"x24"x18" Showcase Cage. Does anyone use a second bulb for night time for their Bluey? There's no space for it so I was wondering if anyone can tell me what they do. Thanks

We do not use a second light source only for nighttime. We have one ceramic heater that runs 24/7 and one light that is on a timer, both in small dome fixtures. Both domes fit in the drop-down section. We have additional timed lights across the front as well.
