Apology accepted- just remember to listen and be open to new suggestions and ideas, from people that know a lot about what they are talking about. Look out for the moderators, also, if in doubt about what you are being told. They most definitely have knowledge to bare. It is difficult when trying to accept the opposite of what you may have been already told, so we understand it can be wearing and frustrating for you, but you can trust this site to give you the best of what is out there to learn. It's up to you now to make the best of that to give your skink a healthy and fulfilled life.
As to you enclosure. It's quite spacious, so that's a bonus. The more room, the better. It's good you have put the lights in cages to protect your skink, too. I'd get rid of the loose newspaper, which is a fire hazard. Try a tea towel! Most will use something simple like that to hide under, but you can consider small logs, half flower pots (ceramic) and other items for hides. Always consider fire safety when selecting items for the enclosure.
You don't necessarily need a large water dish, but often they will bathe and sit in water, particularly near shedding and a bigger dish is usually more sturdy. Just keep it fairly shallow, to prevent accidents.
