is the spray a mite spray,bathing helps but wont remove them all,if the spray kills mites,spray him and the hospital cage and put him back in,shouldnt need to spray his face,being enclosed with the spray should do the trick,if its a mite spray,is it aresol or liquid spray?

Good question! I know the boa got mites after feeding and there wasn't any other way he could have gotten it besides the mouse.

Have you considered writing your findings up as a case study?

It should prove quite informative as current wisdom has it that the species of mites affecting mice: Myobia musculi, Myocoptes musculinus, and Radfordia affinis, are considered non-zoonotic. Similarly, Ophionyssus natricis is thought to only affect reptiles.

I have some experience with Cheyletiella parasitivorax and read a bit on Psoroptes cuniculi, neither of which I would have ever thought as being a risk to my blueys so anything that could help better understand the potential for zoonosis would help all of us.
