Pedigree canned dog food is good for skinks.
Batsam - lots of people feel that cheaper dog food is better for blue tongue skinks, it uses more of the entire animal including bones etc which provide added calcium and nutrients. So while lots of people wouldn't feed it to their dogs, they prefer it to more expensive brands of dog food for blue tongue skinks because it is more similar to feed whole prey items. Muscle meat, the stuff that humans generally eat and would want their dogs to eat, is fairly low in calcium compared to phosphorus and not very nutritional (although a good source of protein). Organ meat, bones, etc added in provide lots of other essential nutrients making it a better food for BTS in many peoples opinions.

Re: Terrarium size for Tiliqua scincoides chimaerea
Hello
Actually, I think also that cheap canned dog food would be best, because the breeder who sold me my Tiliqua, to complete the animal part of the diet of their animals, use animal by-products purchased in the meat: liver, gizzard, lung, lean, etc.. And the canned food for dogs is basically those ingredients, processed, I think.
A disadvantage may be a little "greasy", but the idea is to give it mixed with other plant foods, right?
There are two formats, pate and meat sauce, what do you use? (A picture would be helpful ).
It can be any white label any supermarket not?
As I set at the ingredients ...
Thanks for all the help.

The picture looks healthy. Very nice blue tongue skink!
Pate and meat sauce are both fine - you can try both and see what you like best. I use both and mix vegetables in with both.
There are some good pictures here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=18839&p=380144#p380144

Anyone here has used "cannabis bedding" as substrate?
I will put about 8 inches deep, is that enough to make it comfortable?

Don't worry - that was my first assumption as well, until more experienced people told me otherwise.

One question ...
Do you do brumation in the subspecies of Tiliqua scincoides belonging to Indonesia or New Guinea?
Or just do hibernate Australian species?
Thanks.
