HEY!! I have yormie a male blue tongue who is around 10-13 months old (I actually don’t know his age but this is just my guesstimate) and he doesn’t have a tail. I want to monitor his weight however I don’t know what a good weight should be for a blue tongue without a tail. He has a very small, pointy little nub after his brother ate off his tail as a baby. I’ve had him for 9 months now and it is yet to come back. He is a bit on the chunky side but I’m organising his diet more and he’s been eating less proteins and more vegetables.
Just wondering if anyone knew a good weight for a northern without a tail?? Considering their tails are so big?
Blue tongue no tail??

What is his current weight? He does look chunky. I usually say 700-900g for them, but it also varies greatly on the individual animal as some can just generally be bigger than others.

Are you sure that’s a male?
Are you sure that’s a northern?
Looks like a female eastern.
Anyway, he/she looks fine. No worries about weight there.

Hi I have no idea how to use this website sorry for late reply. I’m in Australia so we only really have northerns here. When I bought him from a breeder they said they were pretty sure he is a he. When it is his mating season he is very territorial with his enclosure so his behaviour seems like a male from what I’ve researched.
