Hi, I’ve had my eastern bluey Hiccup for just about a year now and after looking at getting into the hobby more I’ve noticed that in comparison to both wild and captive blue tongues his orange sides are very vibrant and his scales are very dark. When I first got him he was very dark but has grown into some more colours. He has a speckled pink belly too.
I bought him from a breeder who seemed to have normal blueys and his siblings looked normal too, Hiccup was a runt.
Do these look like normal genetics with some natural vibrancy or is there something else at play here?
Is this colouration unusual?

Variations are infinite, but that one sure is attractive! I have one that is just black and white! I've even seen some Victorian locales that are a greenish hue! Most QLD locales lack the eyebands. Possibilities are endless!! Gorgeous animal you've got there!
