So I have had what I assume to be a Halmahera Indonesian Skink (Male) for about 2 years. When I first bought him he was a brilliant orange on his back but as he has aged, he has become a much more muted grey on his back. Any reason for this?
I know for sure its not shedding since he just shed a few days ago so it truly is a color change-

Re: Skink Color Change?
This is quite normal. The colours of a skink can change dramatically as they age depending on their species and lineage. It's why we recommend asking to look at the parents to know what your skink will look like as an adult. Gorgeous skink btw!
