Skink won't eat veggies
I have a 9 month old northern blue tongue skink who absolutely refuses to eat veggies no matter what I try. She happily eats any protein (dog food, insects, eggs, meat, bluey buffet) that I give her. Have any of you guys had any luck getting a picky bluey to eat vegetables? Also what are the long term health effects of a bts not eating vegetables? Should I be worried?

Have tried mixing the veggies in the dog food? That always works for me. Start off with a small amount of veg in the dog food and gradually increase it.

Agree with above, and don't worry regardless. I know breeders with 20 year old skinks that never saw a vegetable in their entire life. Mine seem to love frozen thawed peas and carrots.
Even when not mixed with anything else. If I mix them with egg or applesauce (unsweetened organic of course) they go nuts.

Forgot to add, don't throw out your bananas that you no longer wish to eat...the rottener the better...mix a little of that into your vegetables and see what happens.
Currently breeding season here, so nobody's eating much of anything right now, males nothing at all.

I'll often cut up everything very finely, greens and other veggies (could even be blended) then I mix it with the canned dog food until it's basically just a mash of everything.
