Age approximation?

Hey guy’s a quick question regarding making a best guess at age. I purchased a skink from a breeder who I won’t mention but is on this forum and advertises on the classified section. After the baby/juvenile? was shipped I wasn’t able to get anymore questions answered or even a response after I was so pleased with the appearance and condition of the blue tongue. I had some additional questions I asked but it’s been crickets on the breeders side so I was wondering if someone could help just make a guess at age for me? I can’t measure him exactly because I’ve only had him a week and half but he’s about 8 inches from snout to tail and here’s a picture I know it’s not the best but I don’t want to spook him. Thank you

Odd that a breeder would not answer your questions. If I do nothing else I will do that.
Hard to determine age as many breeders will underfeed to keep them growing slowly. (Another thing I would NEVER do). Most likely born some time this year, probably late spring to mid summer. That's the best I can do not knowing the animal's prior situation.

I know the breeder was so good at communicating and answered all questions then as soon as I paid and he was due to ship there was no more communication and I just wanted to thank them for a beautiful skink and ask a couple more questions which I guess I’m an idiot not asking the birth date but I just assumed they would give me some kind of background? I’m not sure what I was thinking as I’d didn’t have any knowledge about not shipping in winter. Thank you for your help
