Glass Surfing or Reacting to Reflection

Postby IvanDanko » Mon Jul 12, 2021 5:01 am

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with their BTS appearing to attack its own reflection in the enclosure doors? Peanut is usually pretty active in the morning and will nuzzle/shift the doors to make noise indicating he wants to come out. He's recently dropped plugs a bit over a month and a half ago and now seems to not only be nudging the doors but...biting them. I'm assuming this could be him reacting to a reflection as he will follow the spot on the door as its moved to one side - and remains in fight mode for a moment after I open the doors until he seemingly realises nothing is there. I expect this is a phase/form of glass surfing now hes sexually matured but I thought I'd ask as we're currently in the middle of winter so I can't chalk it up to mating season mania. Cheers in advance

Edit: Phase seems to be over
