Claw Care

Postby DiSnyder » Fri Jul 09, 2021 7:46 am

Thank you for taking the time to read this/help me with what I need help with. I am trying to figure out what is the best way trim the claws on my blue tongue skink. He seems to be refusing to use the rock home I got him, and his claws are starting to leave some cute little tracing on my skin (I find them endearing, but they hurt after a while lol). I am just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how I can trim them or maybe something else I could purchase that may work better than the rock home that I initially purchased for him.

I use a small nail clipper that one may use for a parakeet or small bird.

You can also use human nail clippers. Warning though if you don't feel comfortable trimming your skinks nails... don't. Take to your exotic vet and have them do it
