Pet Stroller

Postby skinkerbell » Mon Jun 21, 2021 4:06 pm

Have any of you ever tried to take your lizard in a pet stroller for some sun?
Do you think it would stress them out too much?

I don't have access to a yard in my apartment so I was trying to think of ways to get my baby some natural sunlight but I don't want to cause any unnecessary stress.

Thanks!

Well, there are some concerns with that...will it be enclosed to prevent escape? A sudden scare could cause him to take off when outside. I'm not a fan of leashes or harnesses as that definitely causes stress, and to put one on a skink would be like putting one on a snake.
Personally I would not take a reptile outside unless I was holding it or in an escape proof pen or something of the sort with CONSTANT supervision. No running inside to grab a beer or go to the bathroom.

Totally understand. Most pet strollers usually are enclosed with mesh so its not really an issue there. I was just curious since I don't have an outdoor space to take her outside. I rather her be happy and safe inside though than stress her out just by trying to get her some natural UV.
