So me and my wife want to breed blue-tongued skinks

So me and my wife wanted to breed skinks we have maruke blue tongue named Rise (gender unknown because we bought him a month or to away from maturity) that issue is covered as my main question is about hybrids I have read that alot of people don't like it but in our state what's available is rise and a northern blue tongue skink Or a fire skink I want to know how severe the danger is and if it would cuase a selling problem. I'm already know that buyers prefer strait answers so I don't want to have a guy be like "you bread a maruke with that you heathen" so are hybrids bad idea.
I haven't had this issue before back when I helped a friend with his snakes so is it the same?

From what I’m aware there are a few issues with hybrids.
1. Seller transparency. Apparently many people will sell hybrids as one of the parent species, which is all together shady, dangerous for the animal, and probably illegal. I’m not saying that YOU would do that, but that’s a frequently raised point against hybrids.
2. Speaking of dangerous to the animal, that brings up another point. With one parent being a high humidity species, and the other being a mid-low humidity species, it would be difficult to pinpoint the care requirements.
3. Gene pools are something to consider as well. Unfortunately, there’s a limited number of each Australian species outside of Australia. Meaning if we crossbreed all the northerns (for example) with other species, we can’t get new gene pools and so nobody gets northern blueys anymore.

I’m not sure what the argument FOR hybrids are, if there is one I’m sure somebody can provide it.

Absolutely not. There are many breeders of northern BTs in the US, myself included. There is no reason to create mutts in an already polluted gene pool due to importation and misinformation given at pet shops and expos. The above post states health issues and I second that. I could go on all day long about reasons not to do this. There is plenty of availability of same species and no reason to cross breed anything. Parting note: If you do not have a pair of the same species do not attempt to reproduce them. Nobody is going to buy them anyway, and they'll probably spend more time at the vet than anywhere else.

Thanks for the information I am new to skinks and wasn't sure of things. And I did some research on the subject and I can say yeah avoid hybrids cus the health of the animals comes first so no need to worry about anything bad.
