Supplements?

Hi! I’ve been wondering, do blueys need supplements? If so how often and how much? Is it both calcium and vitamins or do they get all the vitamins they need from the dog food? I don’t think I’ve seen much of anything about supplements anywhere in my research, which makes me think maybe they don’t need them?

So honestly it is a hit or miss question. Some keepers don't supplement and say their skinks get everything they need from their diets. These skinks seem to do just fine. Others like myself do. I was taught that way by one of my trusted friends who his skink was 26! So I just copied his routine. I supplement with a tiny bit of calcium powder every feeding and then twice a month a touch of multi-vitamin. Both my skinks will be 6 this year. I hope that helps a little bit.
