Springtails?
Hi everyone, I’ve seen these bugs in my reptile enclosures for about 2 years now. No matter how much I scrub and clean, they always come back in what feels like even greater numbers. They vary from dark gray to white, and jump when touched. I’ve noticed some are quite larger than others(shown in the pic) and I’ve never seen any on my reptiles. They accumulate most around the water bowl. From what I’ve read these sound like springtails, but I just wanted to make sure. Should I let these guys be?

Re: Springtails?
No reason to try and get rid of them. They are beneficial as clean up crew. They will not harm or bother your pet. They are detritivores, like isopods, they feed on decaying organic matter.
