Fussy Blue tongue

Postby Bravies » Sun Sep 13, 2020 9:53 pm

hi, I recently bought a blue tongue skink male and the seller said he was feeding fine well he is but will only have fruit or cat food which i dont think is good so I've been trying to get him to eat greens and vegetables however he won't budge ive tried mixing banana in with his food but he takes all the greens out the equation and eats the banana. I was wondering if anyone knows any recipes for me to try to switch him over.

Any help is appreciated thanks.

Finely chop up the greens and mix with dog/cat food. Very seldom will they eat greens and vegetable by themselves.

Exactly the trick is to finely food processor the veggies. Then mix in the protein source you are going to choose to use. Have you asked the breeder what they were feeding? That may help.
