Artificial sounds

I’m just curious if anybody has any experience with playing artificial sounds such as wildlife and weather (except thunder to prevent unnecessary worry) into their skink’s viv. Would this enhance their daily life or straight up scare them ?

I have no experience with this and don't think it is necessary

It's not necessary, lots of folks keeping reptiles without ambient sounds and their animals are thriving. Is it a form of enrichment, yes. However there is potential for it to "backfire on you as well. If you're providing ambient sound within the enclosure especially if it is repetitive. The sound becomes the "normal" for your pet, then when taking it out of it's enclosure the sound diminish's or is gone. Which can make it apprehensive. Personally I think it is more important that wherever you place your enclosure that you keep up with the everyday cycle of your lives. Be it vacumning, listening to music etc. Which may scare your pet at first...but that is what hides are for and they should become used to the sounds over time. Just my opinion.
