Heat lamp guard
I know the clue is in the name but just to triple check, it’s okay for reptiles to touch the guard cage around the ceramic heat thing isn’t it? Bedtime and just found ven like this... *see picture* he’s really hyper tonight and there is no stopping him doing whatever he wants

That Ven...such a wild child. So how hot is the guard? If it is hot for you to touch, then it will be to hot for Ven. I would move it or rearrange so that Ven can't touch it if it is indeed hot for you to touch.

Mine likes to play with his heat guard too. His doesn't get very hot at all, but I'm not sure if yours is the same one. You might have a hotter heat bulb too, so I'd recommend just checking it, just to be safe

Just checked it and one side is fine but the other I can only touch for a few seconds so I have moved the log he was gripping in the hopes he can’t get the same grip on the tile and can’t get up there. I swear he finds new ways to get into trouble every day!

Definitely a good idea then to move the log like you did. It is better to be safe than sorry. Burns hurt and can take forever to treat.
Ven...stop being a trouble maker...lol

He really is a trouble maker! I’ve moved the log across to the middle so hopefully no more being a trapeze artist.
He was just on one yday, he fell off the log at one point, just completely hyper.

He clearly just wants to be famous haha, took another picture of him yesterday that looks like he should put it on a lizard dating site “hello ladies!”
