Handling advice?

So i got my Meaurke BTS 2 days ago, today, July 30th would be the 3rd day. I hand fed her the first two days and left the food she wouldnt eat out of my hand in her food dish(she ate out of that later). Whenever i got into the cage she goes to nibble at my fingers like they're food, but if I do it right she'll let me pet her a couple times if can maneuver away from her head. But she ends up trying to nip me anyways. There are other times where she huffs when i put my hand anywhere near her and doesn't nip but is definitely more defensive. Im wondering if i should be persistent with human interaction or whether i should ease off and let her be alone for longer. As a side not her previous family returned her to the store because they were moving but the staff said that the family had handed her quite often since they had kids so this isn't the first time shes being socialized with. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Since you just got her, I'd give her a week or 2 to settle into her new home. My baby northern was the same way when I first got him, and he still is to an extent. I always make sure he's able to see my hand before touching him and I make sure to not come from above because that's scary for a BTS. Also definitely move slow when trying to interact with your BTS.

My I've had my baby Northern for just over a month. He's still a bit hesistant and does huff at me, but he's gotten SO much better compared to where he was when I first got him. Mine has only bitten me once but it was because he missed the piece of fruit I was trying to offer him.

My advice other than to let her settle in is to continue with the hand feeding, it will build up her trust towards you. Right now she's in a new environment and doesn't trust you. It will all slowly improve over time, patience is key.
