Hide working too well?
So I bought my skink a new hide for the cool side of my enclosure, yet now he doesn't leave it. I have only seen him walk out twice. And one of those was for food/water. Maybe I just don't pay good enough attention to when he does leave it. The warm is around 90~95 ish. Is there anything wrong?

Re: Hide working too well?
i've hear of people who have blueys who hide alot and as long as you check up on him to make sure hes not sick, it should be fine, its natural for them as they are always hiding in leaf litter in the wild. Although im no buey expert just got my shingleback a few days ago, would recommend messaging one of the more experienced owners or try another forum like beardeddragon.org or the bluey facebook page, it seems like this site is pretty quiet, used to be really popular a few years back but seems everyone uses the facebook page these days. But wish you luck, hope your bts is all good

What kind of BTS is it?
One suggestion might be to put an identical hide on the hot side.

Its a merauke skink, and I think I fixed the problem. He jsut preferred the rock over the wood thing on the hot side so I got him another rock and he now switches between the two.
