Hopefully the pictures I'm attaching will show it clear enough but I'll explain anyway: she has these weird... I don't know what you would call them, blemishes? abrasions? on her face, under her eyes specifically. On the right side of her head it's mostly showing as blotchy red marks, almost like she was bleeding or been irritated under the scales there. That's been around for maybe 2-3 weeks or so and seems to be fading slowly, like it's healing up, although recently an extra red mark showed up that looks fresher. The more recent, and slightly more concerning thing, is the left side of her face. The afflicted scale there is raised a little, almost like it's swollen or she got something stuck under there, and this has only occurred within the last few days or so. The older marks were there before she shed and remained after the fact.
I'm not panicking or anything, as neither of these spots seem to be bothering her at all and they're not like massive gaping wounds... but I would like to figure out what they are/what's causing them, so I can try to prevent it from happening again.
For reference, she's about 14 months old and housed on cypress mulch for substrate. For food she gets little 'meatballs' that I make out of wellness grain-free cat food (chicken or chicken and beef flavor) that have little bits of mustard greens and/or escarole mixed in, which I offer to her every other day. I just fed her last night and she's still eating like a pig. The only thing I can think that might be causing this is maybe she's rubbing her face in the cypress mulch or getting poked while digging? I'm hoping you more experienced members can help me figure it out, lol.
Sorry if the pictures are too unclear, I was trying to wrangle her while taking the photos one handed with my phone. I can enlist some help and take some clearer ones later if necessary.
