Questions about Possibly Gravid IJ

Postby Scincus » Wed Feb 22, 2017 9:15 pm

One of my female IJs was bred on November 28th last year and bred six more times over about two weeks. She has not eaten anything since then (so almost three months without food) even though I offer food once a week. Is this a positive sign that she is likely gravid? I have heard that going off-feed is a potential symptom. She was already very fat when I had purchased her back in September, so I don't know if keeping track of her weight will indicate much, but she weighed 797.0g on November 10th, 781.0g on December 27th, 748.0g on February 1st, and 706.0g today (February 22). I've included pictures of her I took today (please excuse the shed).

Second, assuming she is gravid, what would be the estimate for when she would give birth? From what I've heard from a few people, April seems like the likely month.

Wow, she does look rather large. I'm sorry I can't help with any thoughts on her being gravid or not.
Thank you for sharing the pictures and keep monitoring her weight, please.
