Stuck shed, how long is too long?

Hello everyone, I'm new. My baby northern shed today for the first time since he's been home, and just about everything was off within a few hours but he still has a bit stuck on his back feet and tip of the tail. I'd rather not mess with him or soak him if I don't have to, but how long is too long? I'm assuming they'll come off on their own since the rest went so well, but I don't want to leave it for a dangerous amount of time, either.

Some background info- Humidity in the enclosure is 40% with the lights on, 55% with the lights off, diet is half all-beef dog food and half turnip/mustard greens, arugula, and sometimes squash. Fruit is only fed as treats. He's eaten every day since he's gotten here. I love him to pieces.

On that note, I'm looking forward to introducing "him" once I settle on a name

I hope the rest of the shed came off without incident, but just in case it didn't, I thought I'd toss in here that for the next time you see him starting to shed, the least stressful way to ensure proper shedding is to give him a humid hide:

I mainly wasn't sure whether it'd be okay to leave stuck shed overnight or not in the event it became a problem because I've seen multiple people say different things. He's been growing like a weed and looks like he'll be shedding again in a week or so, so I'll make up one of these in the meantime. He already tends to go to his water bowl when he's about to shed, so this would be a good option 2 for him.

Glad his shed came off fine. I have a blotchy, which is another Aussie bluey that doesn't need high humidity. I found that as a baby he needed a little extra help to shed. A couple of things that helped me you might consider for next time:
- A light misting of water in the enclosure (and over the skink) around shed time. not enough to get the substrate soggy or wet though.
- A little soak in lukewarm water, grab a bit of paper towel, wet it, and hold it on the bit to be shed, then gently rub the loose skin. if shed still not complete after a couple of days.
- A tiny bit of olive oil rubbed over the skin, then gently rub the loose skin. also if after a couple of days.

Check thoroughly to make sure the shed has come off properly on the feet and toes and on the tip of the tail, as these areas can cut off circulation if not shed properly.

Thanks for the tips! He shed again recently but it didn't come off his tail tip this time, I was away when it happened so it was pretty dry by the time I found it but the wet paper towel trick worked like a charm.

Oh wow thanks! I'm glad to know I can give him a bit to try and work it out on his own. He's still pretty new so I don't want to stress him out too much if I don't have to. I was worried about leaving it for even one night
