Strange armpit area? Not sure whats wrong
I picked this little guy at an expo today. He has an issue in his armpit areas on both sides. Is this scale rot or something? Any advise would be appreciated. The area is not as dark as the pic. it;s a bit darker than his scales. Also was told he was an i.j. Can anyone confirm. Thanks

It may be an area that has over-heated in the past --not an actual burn, but close to it ...maybe the previous owner kept a heat rock...?

He said he kept them in an 85 degree room. Do you think he's an i.j Susan? I was thinking of putting some neosporn it.I thoight it could be bacterial and need an antifungal. Not sure. keeping a close eye.

Could be an IJ from the little I can see....
I don't know if it needs anything put on it; I'd hesitate, not knowing what it is, without a vet looking at it first. I might just wait for a shed and see what it looks like after, unless it looks red/inflamed?

I noticed that our guys will get a little red when they're dehydrated. Could be from sitting in the reptile show.
Maybe it'll go away after a couple of days of good humidity in a regular cage.

Thank you for the help everyone. I'm keeping a tight eye on him. He seems to be ok. Very active pooping ok and tomorrow i'll offer him some food.
