Baby question

Hello everyone! I ordered a t13 from animal plastics (48x30x18) for my future skink and I'm pretty excited about it my only concern is I will most likely be getting a baby this coming season unless any adults I am really tempted to get spring up before then. My only question is is that too much room for a baby? I had read that babies of certain reptile species get stressed and overwhelmed if you put them in too big a enclosure straight away, should I get a temp Rubbermaid set up as well for when hes really small? Thank you!!

As long as they have hides its perfectly fine to put them into the big size one right away, i did with all 3 of my bubs, i found it looked quite funny to see such a tiny skink in a big ol home.

Yes it's fine, we also went with big one straight away but like Nick said give lots of hides as well as ground cover, long logs fake plants for ground cover that sort of thing to try and encourage it to move around without feeling too exposed. Cardboard toilet rolls, tissue boxes with ends out, anything like that to form an obstacle course.
