New member looking to introduce myself.

Postby Qwerty » Sat Dec 26, 2015 12:12 am

Hey Forum!

I'm 30 and have been into reptiles for as long as I can remember.

I've always been a bit of a generalist and kept a variety of herps along with a few other interests of mine such as tropical fish, plants, and invertebrates.

I used to have an extensive collection of ball python morphs and bearded morphs which I've had to sell due to time constraints along with all of my leopard geckos morphs.

Instead of leopard gecko morphs I now have leopard gecko subspecies along with some cave geckos, frog eye geckos, and a few others which are all colored as nature intended which I find appealing in and of itself.

I still have several empty cages that were once used for my beardies sitting idly except for one that houses a BTS I took I received in a trade. It is of Merauke origin and has rekindled my interest in Blue Tongues since I used to work at an exotic reptile store 12 years ago which sold quite a few of these.

The last few months I've been lurking on these forums soaking up all I can and finally decided to register so that I may view many of the pictures that are only available to registered users.

My favorites appear to be Northerns and Easterns, though all are attractively colored. I hope to engage with all of you on the forums while I attempt to learn as much about them as possible in my search for some more Blue Tongues.

Welcome to the boards. Be warned it's almost impossible to have just one. Also glad to see another New Englander.

Which reminds me, will anyone on these forums be going to the Manchester, NH reptile show?

I know it's not a haven for Blue Tongue breeders, and I've never really gave a hard look to any tegus I have seen, but I will be going and keeping an eye out for BTS in January.

Also considering going to the White Plains show if there are any forums members who may attend.

Looks like I'll have to upgrade my phone for some internet-worthy pictures.
